This week we are going on an excursion to La Sauceda. One of the most magical places in the Los Alcornocales Natural Park.

La Sauceda is located in Cortes de la Frontera, in an area of the Serranía de Ronda, and it houses the ruins of a legendary forest village, which was the cradle of Andalusian Banditry and also served as a refuge during the civil war.

The route is exciting as it takes you through a lush forest surrounded by charm until you reach its recreational area, where you will be welcomed by austere yet cozy stone cabins where you can disconnect from the hustle and bustle of the world: these cabins receive only a few hours of sunlight, so you should take this into consideration when traveling.

It is certainly an interesting experience that we recommend you enjoy. Of course, it is a protected natural area, so you will need to request permission to take the route at least 4 days in advance.
