Carratraca and its thermal baths

Discover Carratraca, a village in Malaga that is home to the medicinal waters that, according to its history, healed Lord Byron.

Located in the Ronda mountain range. The Carratraca thermal baths offer sulphurous spring waters with mineral-medicinal properties. Discovered two centuries ago, it was discovered that they were beneficial for certain ailments and throughout history, people such as Alexander Dumas, Lord Byron, Rilke, Fernando VII and Eugenia de Montijo visited these waters to improve their ailments.

Today the thermal baths are managed by Villa Padierna, a five-star hotel located on the outskirts of Marbella, and are undoubtedly ideal for a relaxing weekend away from the hustle and bustle of the world.
