Let's talk about arthritis and how to ease it
A rather annoying disease that causes pain and inflammation in the joints.
The two most common types of arthritis are osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. Those of us who suffer from it know how complicated the pain can sometimes become.
As always, without being doctors, nor pretending to be, we are passing on a series of recommendations that can help you to combat inflammation (and quite a few other things, really).
In case you still haven’t heard (I DOUBT IT), we are what we eat. This means that diet is a key factor in the evolution of our bodies. There are several foods and eating habits that can help us to reduce muscle inflammation.
1. The well-known Mediterranean diet, based on cereals, vegetables, olive oil, and fish (among other things) is a very balanced option to reduce inflammation and maintain good cardiovascular health.
2. Ensure correct ingestion of omega 3, calcium, and iron (among other things). The anti-inflammatory properties of omega 3 and reducing osteoporosis with calcium and the oxygenation of the blood through iron are key factors for your health. You should include these in your diet in adequate proportions. We recommend that you carefully read reliable internet sources about these elements and the foods that contain them. This is where cooking becomes magical!
3. Posture and stretching matter too. Jane Fonda was a visionary. Stretching every day and maintaining correct posture will reduce stiffness in your body. There is no need to go to classes, our idol’s videos can be found on YouTube and have not gone out of fashion.
4. Supplements, such as turmeric or other anti-inflammatory foods, are the best kept secret today.

- Red fruits.

- Extra virgin olive oil.

- Dairy products.
- Sugars, especially refined sugars.
- Gluten.
- Alcoholic beverages.
- Refined vegetable oils, such as sunflower or soya oil.
