Barranco Blanco Waterfall I Hiking Waterfall

On Friday 5th May, we are heading to discover one of the most beautiful natural spots on the Costa del Sol: Barranco Blanco, located between Coín and Alhaurín el Grande. This stunning route follows the Alaminos River, where we will find crystal-clear natural pools, lush vegetation, rocks, cool water and a beautiful waterfall — ideal for those brave enough to enjoy a refreshing swim. Or, as we like to call it, “excellent circulation therapy”.

We will walk through one of the most spectacular sections of the Alaminos River, a tributary of the Fuengirola River, at the foothills of the Sierra de Mijas. This route has become very popular thanks to its natural beauty, its clear pools and its peaceful atmosphere. A perfect reminder that the Costa del Sol is not only about beach clubs — although, obviously, we remain emotionally attached to them.
